Trip to the Bowes Museum

On 22 November 2018, I visited the Bowes Museum to take a look at the Catwalking: Fashion through the Lens of Chris Moore, the exhibition showcased fashion desgins from Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Dior, McQueen, YSL, Giles Deacon, Prada & Jean Paul Gauliter and many more. (thebowesmuseum, 2019).

Personally, my favorite part of the exhibition was the looking at the Alexander McQueen images, this is due to him being my favourite fashion designers so being able to have another point of view on his genius was very interesting to me. It was also very interesting to see the story behind most of the dresses that had been photographed.

Within the exhibition it featured many iconic moments down the catwalk, using original outfits such as Balenciaga,Chanel,Dior, John Galliano, Comme des Garcons, Christopher Kane, Alexander Mcqueen , Yves Saint Laurent ad Vivienne Westwood.

This dress was one of my favourites from the exhibition named the ‘Marilyn Warhol’ dress from Versace’s Tribute Collection.
These two dresses also caught my interest especially the one on the right, its a very original and unique designs and I found the style and colour meshed very well. I liked the garment above as well because the pattern used was very colourful and eye catching.
